UBT Summer Academy on European Union Law and Integration provides the essential elements of institutional and substantive of European Union law and its links with the international law, especially on European integration.
The course is an advanced course in European Union Law and Integration and is most suited to those with a prior knowledge. The applicants with an academic background in law are ideal, however, this is not an essential pre-requisite to take part. The course is designed to deepen the knowledge on EU law, each lesson will cover certain selected issue which the lecturer considers of current relevance.
The Summer Academy on EU Law and Integration brings together international and local professors as well as students from different countries of Europe. It is a huge value to be part of such an international environment and meet people from different countries.


UBT Summer Academy on European Union Law and Integration serves as a great platform to expand your network and stay in touch with lecturers with excellent backgrounds and from world-leading faculties. Moreover, a range of international students each year participates and you can use this as a networking opportunity and expand your international network, as this will give added value to your personal career network and the chance to stand out. Guest lecturers from public institutions and private well-known companies will join and share views on the most pressing legal issues that concerns today EU law and integration.

Prior to the course starts all candidates should read the: Treaty of European Coal and Steel Community, Single European Act, Treaty on European Union, Treaty of Amsterdam, Treaty of Nice and Treaty of Lisbon
At the beginning of the course you will receive the course material hard copy as well as pdf files.
The course on European Law and Integration has a total of 3 ECTS. The ECTS are transferable to home universities; partner with UBT. An exam will take place at the end of the course.

The course has four (4) main learning outcomes: 1) to give to students a strong grounding of EU Law and Process of Integration. 2) to gain an advanced level understanding of the major theories of law, and Integration. 3) to analyze how debates and politics struggles over EU Law and Integration 4) to give an opportunity to examine the intersection of EU law and policy issues within research projects.
